The said project was conducted last January 12-13 and 16-17, 2023. LTO NCR East aimed to lay out road safety education to students which will be the future qualified drivers. Familiarizing the students with the traffic rules and regulations will be a good foundation before acquiring a driver's license. Developing qualified drivers is an important pillar in the LTO road safety advocacy since human factor is the major cause of road crashes. The successful event brought different riding groups, clubs and other individuals together as the agency strengthen its campaign and advocacy to promote road safety. The Proclamation no. 1157, series of 2006, declares December 3 as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in the Philippines. LTO NCR East utilizes its Driving Education Center to highlight this declaration. The office provided a free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) to the members of ALKASAMOPI, an association of PWD drivers who also advocate for safer roads. Held at the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) Bldg., Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City. "It is not our disabilities, but it is our ABILITIES that count." The LTO NCR East celebrated last July 29, 2022 the issuance of Theoretical Driving Course Certificates to the very first batch of graduates through the signed Memorandum of Understanding, the Integration of Road Safety Education to the Basic Education Curriculum. The participants were graduating senior high school students from different schools in Quezon City. A safer road for everyone. Making it happen and making it work by starting them young.
