ROAD SAFETY EDUCATION IN K-12 CURRICULUM
Last April 26, 2022, The Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Land Transportation Office NCR East and Department of Education Schools Division of Quezon City. The said collaboration aims to strengthen and widen the reach of the Road Safety Campaign through the assistance of DepEd by integrating the basic road safety and comprehensive driver’s education in the enhanced curriculum program. The ceremony was attended by LTO NCR East Regional Director Benjamin V. Santiago III, the chairman of the collaboration project, Assistant Regional Director Pamela B. Gervasio, Dr. Jenilyn B. Corpuz, Schools Division Superintendent and the members of the technical working group of both agencies.

The partnership started in 2019, (see post here) but projects were temporarily suspended due to pandemic, and now, finally, continued after almost two years.

Additional project included in the ceremony and that is set to start is the free TDC for graduating senior high school students, a necessary requirement in applying student license. NCR East is committed to its Road Safety Advocacy and continues to reach out and educate road users for a safer road.
